Una delle corse a tappe più dure al mondo, la Transalp, si è conclusa Sabato pomeriggio a Riva del Garda, dopo 7 giorni estenuanti. Risultato importante per i fratelli Prandi (Team Riva del Garda) che hanno chiuso al 19° posto tra i Master, mentre la coppia Giuliani-Cretti si è piazzata 39°.
Più di mille partecipanti a rappresentare oltre 40 stati, 610 chilometri e ben 19.000 metri di dislivello positivo attraversando tre nazioni: Germania, Austria e Italia, una corsa a tappe storica, dura e cruda, ma tremendamente spettacolare e affascinante: la Transalp!
Quando ognuno dei singoli atleti ha tagliato la linea del traguardo di Riva del Garda, credo abbia rivissuto un suo personalissimo film, un fiume di emozioni forti, un magone in gola, un mix di liberazione, gioia e per qualcuno qualche lacrima a bagnare gli occhi.
Se avete seguito i diari delle nostre due coppie trentine impegnate in gara, nella sezione Extreme Adventures avrete certamente potuto leggere le impressioni dei nostri atleti giorno dopo giorno, tappa dopo tappa (nel caso non l'aveste fatto vi invito a farlo).
Ho avuto personalmente modo di seguire la corsa per due giorni, tra passo San Pellegrino e San Martino di Castrozza, incitandoli e accompagnandoli durante la tappa, cenando con loro e ciò che mi ha sempre fatto "ben sperare" è stato l'animo forte di tutti loro ed in particolare la solita voglia di scherzare, segno che oltre alle gambe la testa c'era ancora, eccome che c'era...
Non è un caso che le migliori tappe siano state per entrambi le ultime due, con risultati assoluti e di categoria davvero importanti (nella top 15 di categoria), segno che a livello psico-fisico erano preparati e pronti ad affrontare questi sforzi consecutivi e, anzi, se ci fosse stata ancora una tappa, o forse due, avrebbero potuto migliorarsi ancora, sfruttando il calo degli avversari.
In gare come questa, in avventure vere e proprie come la Transalp, il risultato ovviamente conta ma ciò che rende queste corse uniche è essenzialmente esserci e viverle fino in fondo, proprio come ha fatto la coppia composta dai fratelli Prandi : Rudy e Alessio e quella formata da Max Cretti e Luca Giuliani.
Per farlo e godersi il momento però occorre prepararsi al meglio e così l'inverno è stato dedicato al lavoro a secco in palestra, abbinato alla bici e ad attività alternative (skialp, camminate in salita), si è faticato indoor nei giorni più freddi o piovosi, sono poi arrivate le prime gare preparatorie, i test di valutazione davano i loro positivi responsi confermati poi dalle successive partecipazioni alle granfondo e marathon più importanti, tenendo sempre presente come l'obiettivo fosse cerchiato sul calendario, nella seconda metà di Luglio.
Così la forma migliore si è concretizzata in piazzamenti di rilievo con i Prandi 19° tra i Master (su oltre 130 partenti) nella categoria dominata dall'ex iridato Debertolis in coppia con Laner e la coppia di Telegarda 39° all'arrivo, al loro esordio assoluto in Transalp!!! Tra le coppie non c'era tutto questo gap, ma ovviamente l'esperienza di otto Transalp (per Rudy e di 4 per Alessio) non si acquisisce alla prima apparizione, per questo si meritano un grossissimo applauso.
Ora un pò di meritato recupero attivo prima e riposo poi, in vista dei prossimi obiettivi e delle future avventure 2016.
Dal canto mio non posso che essere orgoglioso del lavoro fatto insieme e dei "miei ragazzi", oltre al bel rapporto umano che si è creato, augurando loro il meglio per il prossimo futuro!
PS: a breve un focus tecnico sulla gestione dei 7 giorni di gara, il recupero e molte nozioni interessanti...
